"VOICES!"

Community Conversations

A Video Series on Police Community Relations

Thanks to the Greater Toledo Community Foundation, the African American Legacy Project will unveil a series of interviews between five top law enforcement officials and five very intuitive rising young African American leaders.

Our goal was to seek commonalities and common solutions to improving relationships between law enforcement and communities of color.

Episode One below is a compelling discussion between Joshua Williams, attorney at law and Brett Warner, Director of Communications for the Lucas County Sheriff's Department.

"Voices!" Episode Two

In Episode Two Ms. Zahra Collins meets with Chief George Kral to discuss

Toledo's involvement and approach to community policing.  While the chief and Ms. Collins have not met face-to-face before, they have engaged in Zoom group meetings on the same subject.
