The University of Toledo's faculty member and filmmaker Tammy Kinsey will introduce a free showing of the motion picture Shaft and discuss its director Mr. Gordon Parks, who also has a photographic exhibit running concurrently at the Toledo Museum of Art. This 1971 break-through movie led the way for African American filmakers to enter the mainstream entertainment industry.
